Mental Health Minute: Resilience

This pandemic has certainly changed our lives in so many, many ways. We have had to change our lives to adapt to this new situation. That can be difficult, but you might be surprised to find that you are stronger than you think. As they say, “With adversity comes strength.” When we are challenged, we have to create unique ways to respond that focus on our strengths to get us through.

I would encourage you to take some time to reflect on the many ways you have worked to adapt to challenging situations throughout your life. It is because of your unique strengths that you have been able to do this. We are all facing another challenge in our lives now. What strengths did you have before this pandemic that came out even stronger? What new strengths have you discovered about yourself that you didn’t realize you had??

We are all unique with different talents and gifts. I would encourage you to explore your strengths and continue to grow. Embrace these challenges in your life, acknowledge and recognize your strengths and let them help you to become the best version of yourself.

Please remember to take time to care for yourself, even if it is just 10-15 minutes a day. You matter to me and everyone else here at Ready for Life!

Continue to stay safe and healthy physically and emotionally. You are amazing!!

Ms. Cecelia
