Let RFL Youth Know They Are Not Forgotten

From Thanksgiving through the New Year, we share what we call the RFL Family Traditions Initiative, including the celebration of these resilient young people with a little something special under the tree! What we have discovered is that the simple gesture of remembering these amazing young adults this way is far bigger than any item given.

If you would like to sponsor a wish list and stocking, we can do the shopping for you. Donate below.

Even in a “normal” year, the holidays can be an extremely difficult time for the young adults we serve. They are bombarded with ads, stories, and excitement that constantly remind them of the family they haven't had. Your gift lets them know they are not forgotten and helps to build new memories that soften the experiences of the past. Thank you for your help to make the Holiday’s special for the former foster youth we serve at Ready for Life!

how you can help

angel tree wish lists

This year we are asking for stockings stuffed with goodies along with the wish lists. We have over 200 Angel Tree Wish Lists to fill this year. You can fulfill as many wish lists as you would like. The Wish List guidelines are:

  1. Please purchase the items as they are listed on the Wish List. The maximum dollar amount is also listed on the Angel Card.

  2. In the Stocking you can include other small items like candy, a holiday ornament, or other fun stocking stuffers you enjoy. We would also love if you would include a card and little note from you and your family.

  3. Please securely attach the Wish List paper with the NUMBER written on your Wish List so we can keep track of all the gifts coming into the center.

Deadline:  Please drop off your gifts at Ready for Life by noon on December 11. Please email Michelle Walag to book a drop off time so we can make sure to have the right staff here to meet you. (Address: 2300 Tall Pines Drive Suite 100, Largo, FL 33771)

Thanks for requesting a list(s)! Michelle Walag will be in touch soon.
