We are returning to a slightly more normal mode of operating, and will be hosting some wonderful outdoor events and activities!

Appointments Needed: To manage traffic inside the Skill Center, we have an appointment system in place. If you would like to drop off donated items, schedule time with staff or your mentee, or schedule time for tutoring, please book an appointment ahead of time. Upcoming Outdoor Events: The annual RFL Thanksgiving Feast and Home for the Holidays events will be drive-thru events, and both our Dock Life event and Suncoast Kingfish Classic Tournament are outdoors events as well. Follow the links for more information on each event, or to sign up to volunteer and/or donate.
 

Mentors:  Mentors and mentees can meet in person to whatever extent they feel comfortable. Many of our mentees are sharing that they miss the time in person with their mentors! Keep in mind that we have a large kitchen at the RFL Skill Center, so if  you’d like to bring in lunch or a snack and meet in the office, we are happy to schedule those appointments. You can wear masks if you wish and easily stay distanced in the large space available.

 

Life Skill Classes: Our various skill building classes will continue to be held via Zoom, however coaches and coachees can meet in person between group sessions.

 

Tutoring: Tutoring can be done virtually via Zoom, FaceTime, or other Video app, or in the RFL Skill Center. We do not allow off-site tutoring visits. The student being tutored should schedule the appointment with their Youth Specialist, and staff will communicate scheduling with the tutor.

 

We ask that if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or illness to please stay home, and that anyone not vaccinated please wear a mask in the Skill Center. We practice physical distancing and have masks and hand sanitizer available.
